Hi Jim and red team. Since we are all expecting RED to be a very durable camera that will allow us to operate in all sorts of environments, I wanted to address the issue of flange focus stability which is a problem that some other cameras have when the internal or external temperatures get extreme.
Have you guys decided on a way to minimize thermal expansion on the optical head block? Hopefuly RED will be using some exotic alloys like Invar or other stable matels so we don't have to worry so much about slipping flange focus all the time.
Maybe this isn't so much an issue with the sensor design of mysteriam as compared to the other camera with 3 ccd configurations and prisms. I dunno.
