Hey all,

I was looking at the Verizoom web site and i seen that they had the 1shooter for $129. not bad, but i don't really have alot of money to spend on accessories. so i said to my self "i can make that" what i didn't know was i can make that for less then 35 bucks. i got all the parts from Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and OSH. ( the most expensive parts came from Wal-Mart.) You might be able to save some money if you have the parts lying around the house. check this out, if you want to make your own. PM, E-mail me or post here and i'll GIVE you the parts list and instructions on how to put it all together.

here are some pics of it.

Rock on,
Vince

(BTW, who should i use for my image hosting? the place i used for these pics sucks)

Congrats, looks good
Any chance you can post a parts list, or some details here?
Did you have to shape the parts?
Are you getting flex on metal?
What did you use for handles?

Impressive :)

thanks faultgoblin,

1. i sent you the parts list and instructions. the reason i don't want to post the list is because i send pics with it in a MS WORD format. plus, i ask people to send me a pic of the finished product. :-)
2. yes i had to shape the shoulder piece. but it was easy. just find a nice strong tree or park bench.
3. yes, i'm getting a little flex on the main shoulder piece. but it's only a little bit and it snaps back to the way i bent it. so it's really nothing to worry about.
4. for the handles i use a 1/2" by 5 1/2" long bolt that was threaded to the head.... see the instructions for that.

over the last two days i've sent out a bunch of plans for the rig. but it seems that people aren't getting them. your ISP might block it because i sent it as a attachment in MS WORD format. if you asked for one and didn't get it e-mail me and i'll AIM it to you or something like that. let me know....

-thanks

hey all...

so i was thinking about making some improvements to this shoulder mount and selling them. i was think about $50 plus shipping(but i wouldn't ship the counter weight). would anyone be interested?

the reason i ask... a couple of people have asked me to build one because they're not that good at DIY's

I say go for it! Make a quality, comparable product and sell it for less.

Heck yeah, I'd take one. I could do it myself, but time is crunchy nowadays.

Are the plans up somewhere on the internets permanently? I've been trying to track this down for a while now...

Did you email the user directly? ...and like stated before, it is 3 years old now.

I am so glad I built this slider. Check out the video I shot for the Black Eyed Peas website. Almost every shot uses the slider. I shot over two days and on the 2nd day, I forgot the base plate for the fluid head, so I was sliding the camera, while holding the 5DM2, to the fluid head with my hands.

Many thanks for the instructions and parts list.

Oh.... I use silicon spray to grease it up a bit. Makes sliding a bit easier.

Cheers,
