ah strange questions?
If you shoot with 2 Hvx-200's and not snyc the time code through firewire. are the two still going to be perfectily synced frame by frame?
If CAM A is shooting at 24pn and CAM B is acedently shooting 60i will the cameras still be in snyc?

To answer your first question, no. The only way to sync exact timecode is through Firewire. I've found in my experience that you have to resync the timecode if a camera is turned off and back on, as there is a tendency of frame drift.
You could attempt to manually synch the timecode using the timecode preset and then setting both cameras to Free Run at the exact same time using a remote...but for some reason every time I try this method it never works. They always revert back to whatever timecode I had just changed in the Preset.
I'm not sure it's even supposed to work with the DVX100b or HVX200, as Barry's DVX Book says that this method is for synching the DVX100 and DVX100a models. But I wasn't sure if that excluded the DVX100b or HVX200. I would think you would be able to, but like I said, can't ever get it to work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I own a DVX100A. I have tried to sync two DVX100A's lots of times and it just does NOT work no matter how you go about it and that is following the instructions in the DVX book exactly. As soon as you get out of the menu, the time codes are different.
Even then, you have to have both camera's on power as you will get a time code shift if you change battery.
