i am using the rings from the asian macros to increase the distance from the gg and the camera but the glass was taken out (wow the asian macro glass isnt even fully round and it cut me!) but im using a 58mm achromat then steppin back down to 43 to thread onto my camera...

NOTE* I DID NOT CLEAN THE ADAPTER AT ALL!!!! once i got it together i was kinda lazy to take it apart and clean it again soo tomrrow i will take more video of it with better filming conditions and a clean adapter :)

test footage (http://www.stickypod.com/videos/data/500/DOF-Sequence_1-H_264_LAN_Streaming.mov) (lighting was bad soo i shot it at a 1/8 second shutter speed and iris open at 12db)

Good start. Keep at it, it can only get better! Looking forward to sample footage with better lighting/sunlight.

Looking better xfoo, try a f1.4 lens for the indoor shots, it will give you much more light to play with.
Good luck!

When buying a lens from ebay you want to ask every questions you can, questions like

Does the lens have any dust/dirt inside at all? (key word "at all")

Does the shutter blades stick?

Does the focusing gear turn smoothly without any sticking at all?

etc...

You have to be very careful with ebay, believe me I've been burned several times!

I just got an f/1.4 50mm nikon f lens... it is sweet. $75 but it'll be worth it for the adapter I just bought, ;)

This is off topic.

I wonder if it's just my luck or it's got something to do with where I'm located. Most people in the forum manage to get below $100 prices for good lenses. Over at my place, if I can get one at $150, it's considered a steal! I got a Nikon AI 50mm f1.8 at that price and currently bidding for a Nikon AI 35mm f2.8 at the same price too.
