Just one comment: i opened the Sgpro box thinking I needed to add the shim between the box and clamp, but it is meant to go between sliding plate and clamp, so at little dust got in.

yikes- its obvious some dust did get in. I was about to say "he sold it to you" like that: grab 2 is quite dusty. Would like to see some footage...
youve also got some seroius barrel distortion there.
maybe its not on properly?

it takes alot of patience to get it aligned properly.
take your time. make sure the height is correct. and zoom only enough to jut cover the GG box Frame. if youre cropping 16:9 forgo the top and bottom, and zoon in just enough to get clearence on the left and right. ZOOM in as little as humanly possible.
it makes all the difrence with helping to get rid of Barrel distortion.
but the MAcro does have a little Distortion natually. its not to bad, but its there. i say, Whatever..... lol Enjoy.

Hi,
From the grabs and my conversations with Theodoros, we know that there is still some fine adjusting to do with setting the camcorders height with the provided shims. The DVX needs to be 'on axis' to reduce any effects like barrelling.

Hello guys,
i have just made a small test with my SGpro and i have uploaded a clip.
One thing that i really enjoy with my SGpro, is that it gives me great stuff for editing. I really really enjoy to edit SGpro footage.
Setup:
DVX100be
SGpro
Nikon 50mm f1.2
FCP
Format:
H264, 63.3mb

Please post some feedback.
Thank you all in advance!
Hey Theodoros
I know I wrote this over on DVinfo.net but I personally think the footage overall looks way to soft, is it the compression that is making it look so soft?
And as for content it's everyones favorite the 'Guitar' and the 'Dog'.
The dog walking toward camera worked creating it's own change in focus. I think we should all be careful about pulling focus shot after shot in tests, in reality we may only use the technique once in a much longer piece.
I'm interested in seeing how these adapters work with shots that we use everyday, external wides, tracking shots and how flesh tones look with people talking to camera.
There never seems to be dialogue in these tests, it's always mute with a wistful soundtrack.

Hey Theodoros
I know it's not exactually constructive but I personally think the footage overall looks way to soft, is it the compression that is making it look so soft?
It isn't the compression. It's because of the "silk type" filters i use.

Each one shots in a different way everyday :)

It's just some internal shots. I had a guitar, a microphone and a dog next to me. I did'nt want to create the next Star Wars, just to see how this thing works for me.
There never seems to be dialogue in these tests, it's always mute with a wistful soundtrack.
I never like speaking so generally. Have you asked me something and i haven't answered to you??
And something at last,
i have no intention to show how this adapter works generally and all of its capabilities, but just how i can use it and what i can do with it.
Thanks a lot for the comments.

SGpro transmits the Bokeh very well.

I agree. I'd like to see some footage with an fx1 and your adapter. Does this combo exist anywhere? I notice there is a bit of black at the edges of the clip...is this fixable? I really am impressed with the look of this. Did you sharpen it up in post or is this the adapter by itself? Very cool.

its fixable. he just needs to zoomin more.

Exactly. The dvx zoom was at Z73. At Z74-Z75 there are no black lines.

No. I made the opposite! The raw footage was much sharper. I used a silk plugin that it is a kind of blur plugin with these "dreamy" look results.
P.S I have uploaded a small clip with no correction, which is a kind of a test for my lenses. The dvx is at the tripod and i have made the same one movement at the same point with each one of my lenses. I'll post the link in a little.
Thank you.

Strange. Didn't work for me too.
I copied again the link from the stickypod gallery and it's ok now.
I edited my previous post with the correct link,
