So I've been shooting with the HVX200 for about a month. Problem Free I love it... in 720 24pn. I just shot an infomercial in SD to P2 and EVERY single clip has terrible Dropouts. I used the DVCpro (not 50) compression, 30p, film cam mode. Every clip is unusable and I have to reshoot. Any body else have this problem?

This is a screen grab from an SD image captured to P2. Why the Dropouts? This is on every clip at least 4-8 times per minute. It only happens in SD. I'm using the 4 gig cards.

Thanks for the reply ggdelarge, Jan got back to me with a similiar solution. Upon new transfer on another system the clips were fine. Not something I expected. a Bizarre anomally to say the least.

Do you have a ferrite core on your Firewire cable?

Yeah, I use only 1 heavy duty firewire cable with a ferrite core on it.
