Hello all. First off, thank you all for the wealth of information here. It's been a great help. I have a shoot in two weeks and I'll be using the HVX 200 for the first time. At this point Ive been able to do some tests here and there over the course of a few hours with the camera, mostly though Ive been reading posts and the manual. I noticed on pg59 of the manual that there's mention of an internal battery. I'm wondering how often it needs to be charged....and if there are any ill effects during a shoot if the internal battery becomes low. I've worked with a number of cameras in the past....the only batteries I've dealt with are the ones you charge up.....

Practically (if not) all cameras have internal rechargeable batteries to power clocks and save user-selected options. They get charged automatically when AC or DC power is supplied.

The internal batteries are usually good to power the clock and save settings for a few weeks, but if you don't use your camera for a long time and don't keep a battery on it, you may find that the date and time have to be reset when the camera is turned on. At that point, the internal battery will charge automatically off the AC or DC power.
