Hello. I'm a new to DVX 100b and I would like to sync multiple cameras at the same time. I was reading Mr.Green's A Guide to the panasonic DVX cameras and it gives me really good instruction of how to sync the camera.

It says I can match time codes and disconnect the 1394 cables for all cameras after matching the time codes. But, I was a little bit confused about this because I thought by connecting 1394 cable with other cameras, I would be able to start one camera (master camera) and other cameras will start up at the same time. So that, every camera is able to continue the sync as long as a tape lasts.

To me it is hard to imagine if I disconnect the 1394 cable after the matching time code, the camera stays in sync. So, probably I misunderstood the function of synchronizing. Do I have to start up all the cameras at the same time to maintain the sync? Is this supposed to be only to match up the sync or is there a way to maintain sync without pushing the cameras' start buttons at the same time?

Please someone help me out with this. I would like to understand what exactly I can do to synchronize multiple cameras and maintain the exact sync if there is any way to do it.

Thanks you very much.
