Hi, I'm at work right now working with P2 media. I searched a few times but couldnt find an answer to my question. What I need to know is if you record to P2 cards, then transfer to minidv through the camera, does the timecode transfer over? We're currently cutting on FCP but will need to online in Avid, and if the timecode doesnt transfer over, then we cant use the minidv backups for anything really. Please help me out ASAP. THx.
Edit. Nevermind, I downloaded the manual and it says that you can transfer the TC if the settings are set properly. Now all I have to do is go to FotoKem, find those DV downconverts and compare the TC of the P2 cards because the cameraman says he doesnt know anything. I'm guessing we're screwed if the CAMERAMAN doesn't know.
