Any chance the RED ONE camera will make it to the DV EXPO, Nov 15-17?

DV EXPO is not on our short list of shows to attend. We are scheduled/hoping/excited about showing 4k footage at IBC, although we continue to make no promises.

Have you yourself watched the 2k or 4k footage from your personal private RED prototype camera yet? You must have seen the footage already! If so, how does it look so far?

DV expo seems to loose steam every year.. its a much lower end show. Still some good stuff to see there of course, but its not a big one. November i assume RED will be busy as hell getting the final camera together.

My school went for the past two years, the first year we went there was a good 45 to 50 manufactures/companies there, when we went back this last year, the were no more than 15. You're definately right to say it's loosing steam.

yeah punkmetal.. its too bad cause DVexpo actually was the first conference i ever went too. Its kinda turned into more of a learning/lecture show than an exhibit.

hey, did they cancel dv expo east in nyc??

like 2 months ago i went to the dv.com site and the show was supposed to be next week.

the exhibition hall opened on tuesday and my wife's high school reunion is the weekend right before so we had planned on staying over in southern CT and then taking the train into the city on tuesday to see the show.

i went there today to double check the times and to see the list of exhibitors and the entire dv expo east info has disappeared from the dv.com / cmp.com site(s)

i did a google and it has the original page for dv expo east but when you goto it you get a 404 error.

i can't believe they cancelled this...

don't vendors make lots of plans for travel/lodging etc. ??

i haven't been able to goto dv expo east for the past two years but the ones i went to were good and it was the only show of its kind that is in driving distance from the new england states.
