Which editing system supports the HVX's DVCPRO 50 codec?
I wanted to upgrade to AVID XPress Pro HD and use DVCPRO Standard Definition material from my HVX as here in OLD Europe tv still has SD only (almost). :(
And as you guys in the US seem to be talking about HD only I couldn't find any clue searching this site.

Here's a link to the AVID website with all the info you need regarding Xpress PRo HD.

Ciao Mc,

i am going really well with the trial of canopus "edius".
For using dvcpro 50 you would have to buy edius broadcast (will also support ALL settings for PAl-HD with the upgrade version 4 from july!)...check it out(30 days trial, full working!-great performance..let us know what you think about it!)-auguri di berlino!

Thanx for the edius tip: my download speed is provincial, thus no edius trial for me, would take me 2 days with ISDN speed.
And how long would it take to learn editing with this programme as I'm used to AVID (DV Express up to now)?
