Is there a simple tutorial for P2 workflow? I just really need a simple source for learning the ins and outs without weeding through a thousand threads.

I just returned from a two week shoot out of the country (240/50hz) and traveled around with a MacBook Pro and two external 250 G drives which I mirrored just in case of failure.

I spent a lot of time each night copying files from HVX to drive, converting, then copying again from capture scratch to hard drive, then mirroring. Especially daunting without adequate power and adapters. Some days I filled my P2 and had to do this in the middle of the day. If I didn't have the comfort of my hotels, I would have been stressed because these were long days. I don't trust the firestore which was my original intention when I bought the camera. It doesnt sound trust worthy from what I've heard.

There has got to be an easier process, or does there?

can I now delete all the /content/ files since they have been converted to MOV? Any reason to keep these around?

thanks,
td

I'd second that, make it a sticky as well....

Having to wade though a maze of threads to find this sort of basic information is a PITA!
