I've searched the forums but not seen this asked or answered before, so here goes...

I'm using my HVX to record 1080p HD and DVCPRO50 to my FS-100. Once I'm done shooting, I run the "organise P2" utility on the Firestore. I connect up to my edit machine and mount the Firestore. I'm running FCP 5.1, but in the "Import P2..." dialog, I don't see thumbnails for each of the clips I've recorded. If I record to my P2 cards, I do see the thumbnails.

What's supposed to happen? Is anyone else seeing the thumbnails if they import clips direct from the Firestore?

thanks in advance for your help. -skip

In the current release there are no thumbnails on the FireStore.

Thumbnails are an upgrade we'll see very soon. The FS-100 gets every bit of metadata from the HVX200, but I think Focus didn't anticipate folks wanting thumbnails that badly. So they're adding the implimentation of it in a very near update. Panny made some weird discisions, too. Now that we're all using this stuff, everyone involved is learning to adjust.
