Hi, After looking at demo clips from several mini35, I have to admit, I still like the Guerilla G35. Unfortunately there seems to be some problem with the shipping. Anyway, M2 from redrock would come 2nd. Still abit grainy on some of their demo clips. But the Letus35 is really not so great. Although its flip, that means it loses alot of light. And one of the clip seems washed out. Not sure why. Sorry can't figure out where I got the clip. But I have seen a few test clip from the Letus35, on a big screen, the video would not be good IMO. Sorry just my opinion so don't beat me up about this.

no one will beat you up, its your opinion. Others will agree and others will disagree with your observations, so you should buy what looks best to you. The G35 looks great yes, but in an attempt to perfect/patent that unit Jonothan has allowed alot of competition to jump into the market. But maybe he doesnt care about that...which may be good. Someone who cares more about thier product than getting it out fast and first.... rare indeed :)

alex, ill say the same thing i posted in the other thread.

Yes ther are adapters out that that have spinning, vibrating, static, yadda yadda, but they each give their own effect depending on the GG being used. If you want something that lets in more light, chances are a finner gritt GG will do that, but at the same time, you loose the beautiful bokeh saught after for the film look. Otherwise you get this milky washed out blurry section. Now the adapters that loose a litthe more light ( letus flip ) thats mostly due to all the glass it has to pass through before getting to the dvx.

The the adapters have have larger gritt, or just loose more light in general, look at the footaage and watch how beatufiul the in and out of focus areas become.

Hehe, thanks for the response. Will look at some more of the letus35 clips and see. I really like the P+S output but damn the price.

Decreased light transmission on flip solutions is more due to increased optical path rather than emissivity issues.

Also, the only way to realisticaly compare adapter bokeh to film bokeh is to actually shoot film and compare it under the same shoot conditions and lens...which is how we've been approaching the issue. Our current GG which demonstrates a .5 stop gain in the adapter, is a very, very close match to film bokeh in the F2.8/f4.0 to f16 range. So in this regard, a GG with actual light gain can be a very close film match. The latest tests on a swappable solution for the Brevis are targeted at a film bokeh match in the f1.4 to f4.0 focal ranges. The interesting observation here is that none of the films I've seen of late are evidently using these low f/stop values. My guess would be that most DP's are using the F4 to F8 (or T4 to T8 more correctly) ranges.
