So is there any footage from this cameras prototyp?

Is there an expected reatail price out yet?

Can you film onto DV tape or is it soild memory?

Will this camera have a fix lense or reovable one?

Will the camera be HD or HDV or a new format that no editing software will read?

So many questions and so little time!

You might want to check out the website, www.red.com

Footage will be shown in the fall of 2006.
The expected price is 17500$.
No tape. Integrated hardrive, flash, external raid and RAM.
PL mount for the lens at least, cinema standard. no lens included.
The red camera can shoot 720p up to 2540p, wich is 4k plus. Not HDV. The camera will also record to its own RED codec wich will work with a lot of the editing software on the market.

This camera will rock of it holds up to the specs.

The hdd isn't intergrated

Once you plug it in to the SATA port it will be.
It's not included in the initial 17.5k price, if that is what you mean, but then word is they're taking about 40 mins of 1080p storage for just under $1K. That's pretty damned good in anyones book.
