but i find it so slow in rendering i.e example for 1minute 15 seconds it takes over a hour now is this standard for this software i know how fast the computer etc processor makes but it seems very slow information please
o/s windows xp sp2

hmm. isnt it supposed to be real time , or near to it pending the system. i would think yours could handle it. perhaps the final render still takes a while though. do you have any other effects on which could be causing the lag?
and no, the capture card would not make a difference.
Editors 2, uses the video card, i have a nvidia 6800, and my render times were cut by 90%. I'd bet that if the demo is slow the full version will also be slow.

yes it is more or less real time on viewing on timeline but it is the
final render that seems to be so slow and there is no other effects
involved only magic bullit
cheers for info

it looks as if i would need a capture card i have the matrox 2000 card and premeire 6.5 but sadly premeire did not make drivers for pro 1.5 and magic
bullit only works with premeire pro 1.5
cheers

MB 2.0 has a GPU option that will speed up render times when a supported video card is used, like sink said.
I use a Geforce 7900 gt and can play some presets at real time. Others need to be rendered. But the render times are very fast. Your 1:15 clip would render in under a minute depending on the effects used.

Yes MBE2 is way better than 1. I did a review on it on my podcast : http://www.filmmakingcentral.com/mbe2.html
and a small flash demo here: http://www.filmmakingcentral.com/mbedemo.html

I've seen a system running a P4 3.2 with an nvidia 7800Gt 256MB graphics card hit at least a 3:1 render time for the bullet. That was during a an mpeg render through procoder coming of a premier 1.5 time line. have a look at this link and they have a table down the bottom of the page regarding cards and render times. Note however that their benchmarking system is running Vegas.
