Lake Films

Hey. I was mortified tonight! One of my films was being shown tonight in a film festival. I copied it from the final cut pro timeline, to a panasonic DV-cam tape weeks ago and sent it in. We're all ready to go, people are there after all the hype and whamo, the bars across the screen, no matter what the operator did, those f*&^% bars wouldn't quit. Embarrassing! This was a brand new sealed tape too, and they were showing it on a DSR-11, the same unit I recorded it from at home. Luckily, well somewhat, I ran with a friend in a rain storm, to get his DVD copy being he lived closer and we returned to show that. Granted a lot of people left, nice moral support huh, but the ones that were there gave us much applause and enjoyed the film, pity applause? Lol. All in all, it was ok, and I can tell you this, I usually ALWAYS carry backups, but tonight I thought, hey, I want to relax and watch my film....Yeah! Any idea why the dropouts occured? The operator said it was because I used a Panasonic tape instead of a Sony tape. Who knows....:(
