Once your film is complete. RED Co. will take your video masters and transfer it to film at cut rates utilizing transfer equipment that best suits the CMOS technology. In this manner everything is kept inhouse with people who are totally familiar with the camera, its strengths and and dare I say its weakensses (Hey we've not reached Nirvana yet!). They would also be familiar with the person shooting the film and they're way of working...This would be so much better than having to shop each job independantly....Rates could be much better as there is a built-in clientele, and you could always go to an outside post house if you were on a tight schedule, etc.....This would further be a good selling point for the camera.....
