I am new to the 200. I am shooting 480 30fps onto minidv. I have not changed any settings. It is brand new...from the box. When I view the video on a monitor that I had shot...it looks like there are some frames missing, like it's stuttering a little. I'm playing the video from the 200 outputting from the S-Video output.

Anything I need to double check that comes to mind? Need more info on my end?

Thanks.

The only thing I can think of is that you increased the shutter speed to 1/500 or greater either purposefully to reduce light, or just by accident.

Check it out.

You say you are shooting 30fps... I assume you are in 480/30p. If so, you need to shoot in 480/ 60i if you want regular looking video. 60i is what you see on most TV programing. 24p is for the film look. The only time I can think of to use 30p is if you want that film look and you're shooting for broadcast. It may come to be useful when shooting with HMI's.
