A great way to prevent theft would be to implement factory set unique "passwords" (i.e. a unique sequence of button pressing) for each Red camera. The REGISTRED owner would be the only one to know the exact sequence needed to turn on the camera. After a dozen "mistakes", the camera would be blocked and would have to be sent back to factory...
