How about a feature that will make steadicam shooting much easier(or any shot where the subject will constantly be changing his or her distance from the camera). What if there was an addon that would be 2 parts. The first part would be attached to the camera and would control the camera's focus. The second part would be a very small sensor that would be attached to the subject(for example, under the actor's shirt). Using infared or some other similar technology, the focus controller(on the camera) would be constantly measuring the distance from the actor and adjusting the focus to match that distance. This way no matter where the actor moved, they would always be in focus! This would be much easier than having someone looking through a tiny monitor and trying to constantly adjust the focus on the fly.
