ok, I'm a student, i miraculously got my hands on an HVX-200 for real cheap, and i basically don't have the loot to get an FS-100, or P2 cards. has anyone figured out a way to record HD video from the HVX via anything other then those two options? Either an external hard drive, or an ipod (which i'd heard mention of somewhere on the ever-reliable internet), or something. anything. sorry if this has been asked before, i'm new to the forum. if not, what exactly makes the FS-100 the only Hard drive option? i appreciate the help.

The FS-100 is the only current hard disk option; others are coming in the next few months. You can also record directly to a laptop computer running FCP or Avid or EDIUS Broadcast, or the forthcoming Serious Magic DVC Rack.
