Airbags!

While the price of RED is spectacular given its specs, it's still alot of dough. How about some airbags on that baby to protect your investment! Put some kind of motion sensor in it (with an off switch for dynamic crane or handheld shots). If the sensor detects overly rapid motion - bam! Airbags deploy and your $20K camera lands on its own pillow. Or maybe foam prongs fly out to cushion the blow.

Stupid idea? Very. But would I love that feature all the same? Yes.

I had this idea around page 2 of this section, but nooo.., you hade to come up with it back in the early posts on page 12.

"Overly fast motion" would actually be 0Gs (freefall). Which means you would want to be careful to disable said feature if you're ever plan on jumping off of a drop while holding the camera. The result could be more than 20k in medical bills when your arms get blown off.
