USB Flash Memory Setup

Here is one idea.
Instant camera setup via USB flash memory.

Instead of having the setups memorized in the camera, every unit can have their setups on cheap USB FMs.
(you could have in-camera setups, but USB would have priority)

Would be useful for productions were several cameras are used. Or if the camera(s) is rented. Or for fast switches between sets.

USB FM´s costs practically nothing today. :)

Man, THAT'S A DAMN GOOD IDEA! I lend or rent my DVX sometimes and I always have to check it to make sure someone didn't change a setting that would screw up my shoot. This would solve that problem!

Yes, it´s very annoying.
I hate it when someone in the team "tweak" the camera for the "better"...
With a USB FM-solution I would KNOW the settings are ok and I would know that I don´t mess up someone elses settings.
