We are trying to use After Effects to composite .mxf files. No matter what setting upper first, lower first, we are getting slight "stuttering" on playback. One of my guys is not bothered by it, but as the talent walks across the screen I'm NOT pleased with the "stutter".
It "almost" looks like reversed fields, but that's not it.
The "stuttering" is more predominent on the vertical walk and not so much on the raising of hands, i.e. vertical movement???
We shot on DVCPro 50-60I, 30p, and 720p-30pn and have the same results.
We have Main Concept for the DVC Pro 100 codec.
We have Snell & Wilcox MXF desktop to see and recognize the mxf files.
We have Matrox for the DVC 25-50 files.
We also have Ray Light for bringing in .mxf files to After Effects.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Tomorrow, (Wed.) was going to be our first paying gig with the HVX and I'm unfortunately thinking of using our Beta Cam instead.
