ive been able to get the files into the timline no prob, only prob's are rendering the files out to quick time, avi, etc. that and trying to convert the frame rates. im having the frame rate issu in both the latest version of final cut (lost completly on how that work flow is supposed to be) & on avid.
i shot 1080i @ 24p, and im being told the video is 2997, not "29.97" but 2997, and doesnt match the timeline, so the only way i can import clips into the timeline, is on 1080i @ 59.97 or 59.97HDV. (Im using 5.2.4 avid) where am i spacing out? i haven't used avid in along time, so im a bit rusty, any help..... do i need to do a pull down, or frame conversion? if so how?
then what about exporting the piece? do i have to render anything prior to export? if so i dont get any ability to do so.
Thanks!
Ps.
Im shooting on the HVX with the FS-100.
i copy files from fs over to avid mxf folder, then use media tool to allow me to drag and drop the clips in avid. problems in the frame rate of the footage and that of the project.
