I have a firewire drive with footage copied from P2 cards that I would like to view.

When I try to install the P2 viewer software it says that I must install the P2 drivers. But you can't install the P2 drivers without a P2 card plugged in. I don't have a P2 card with me and even if I did I don't have a PCMIA slot in my desktop.

Is there a way to still install the P2 viewer?

Why is necessary to have a p2 card plugged in to install the drivers?

Why is necessary to have a p2 card plugged in to install the drivers?

When I installed the driver onto my Compaq laptop it gave me an error message that said no P2 cards were found. I plugged in a P2 card and it worked.

However, I just went ahead and tried to install the drivers onto my desktop and it installed just fine without any P2 cards.
