View Full Version : KHS yearbook vid intro
Yay something to post again!
I made the into video for my high school's yearbook dedication again this year (I'm an alumni now, since this is my first year in college ^^). Due to people not showing up, and two harddrive failures, this was very rushed and incomplete. So basically, I don't consider this a final or finished composition xD.
It uses a remix version of Stacie Orrico's "More to Life" (sadly didn't have time to finish it, so it didn't get to the remix part...) and everything was just slapped together the last to days, after my main hd had a power surge, and having someone knock over my backup.

Cool, very different. How did you do that 'writing' effect?

yeh! that was sooo hot man! woohoo! That shot of the reflecting floor and the kid walking away from the camera was sooo filmic. It reminded me of harry potter for some reason...the dark gloomy look to it. Tell us how you color corrected that and what settings and any lighting? let us know! wooo!
P.S. where are you from? i need a DP for my film

That was very good. I liked everything and it all seemed appropriate. Great work!

i'm assuming you used after effects for the intro and strokes throughout the video? What did you use? 3D Stroke? or masked/animated a paintbrush...share what you used for that effect. Good stuff!

Sweet stuff, it really flowed. The stroke was pretty awesome, but I think if you had time you migth have wanted to add some more elements or something to make the stroke less repetitive towards the end. Good job, especially for the time constraints!
Basically, the strokes throughout the video were slapped on the last minute (which was most of the video as well...). What I had planned to do was integrate the strokes interact with the camera and environment, but I didn't have time to do that. I just used AE's painting tools and animated the length (beginning, end). would have added an arrow head if I had time.
The scenes had no lighting, and I lost a pin for more home built stabilizer which contributes to the shakiness. Since no one came on the planned shoots, I had to grab a few peopke to go to downtown... and we filmed the day before the video was shown.
