Ok, thats maybe a message to the very helpfull BHIGA guy and maybe other from canpous that might listen.
I dont say that i found major issues with the trial of edius 3, all in all i am very happy with the performance and also most of the workflow (i know that some people dont like it, but after a couple of weeks i got the feeling it is realy nice to me)
However, specially in the AUDIO stuff i had some issues, maybe its already changed or still could be changed:
1st: the "waveform Rendering" is really pain in the ass if you once open the waveform, it starts to render EACH waveform of each audioclip. and you CANT really stop that, but just clicking abort for each clip.
As i have sometimes hundreds or thousands of clips in the timeline, that definitly sucks and stops you sometimes for a loooong time.
Maybe its possible to change that, for example that it asks "wanna render ALL Waveforms?"
The problem is also, the way it is now, i think you cant render those parts anymore and you wount get any waveform anymore after you pressed once "abort".
2nd: this is a small one but also a problem to me: if you have once opened the waveform of clips, you cant select them anymore all together. (hard to describe what i wanna say, i mean, you can select them individually, but if you wanna select a bunch of clips all together by just spanning this rectangle over them, you cant select them anymore when waveform is opened, thats strange!)
3rd: which i think is an IMPORTANT one: if you detach an Audio from the clip and you move the Audio to lets say Audio-Track 2, then there will be a serious playback problem for this part: it will stop playback again and again in those parts of the timeline where you moved the audio seperated from Video!
I know that those are not big issues, but stoping workflow if you do certain things.
Knowing Adobe Premiere and being frustraded about "real" and hardcore bugs, that havent been removed for years, i really appreciate canopus Help and Will to make a very stable and good product like Edius.
I hope that Canopus will be able to listen to the customer needs (we also need ALL the framerates in the PAL Countries with edius.yes yes yes!) and make a even greater Edius with edius 4!
