8mm cinecamera lens on 1/4" camera

did you think is a waste of time replace a lens
on a dv camera with an 8 mm old cinecamera all manual lens....anamorphic?
the ccd 1/4 is 0.625mm so is smaller than a 8mm
but with anamorphic close up extension 1,5x can reproduce more or less the same size of the original 8mm format!

that sounds really cool. Id do it . but then, is it really gonna be that sharper than the lens on it now?

I don't know if I'll find a good lens I'll try to dismount the camera and replace the lens
