View Full Version : got most of my 35 parts today...
my thorlabs tube and diffuser came today , still waitin for the asians to come ... but i put the diffuser in and after i got the second set ring in all the way and put the adapter i made to go from 52mm thread to my lens mount (lens mount ring + uv filter ring) on it i looked through it and noticed a slight blemish off set from the center on the ground side of the diffuser.. it looks like a drop of sutin might of gotten on it.. should i try to clean it or send it back?

If you can see it with the naked eye I'd just send it back. Much safer that way. If you try to clean it they may say you caused it or some other crap like that. If you can see it just looking down the tube more than likely it will show up in your footage.

WAs it there the whole time, or did appear after you handled it for a while. If its just a peice of dust try blowing it off with an air-duster. if it doesnt work, i wouldnt rub it. as long as it wanst your fault when you were messing with the tubes and rings. more than likely, a tiny chip of paint fell onto it from on off the black painted threaded rings.
You should always try to grab the bb only at the edges.
yah.. i called them it was there from when i received it... the new gg is comin today and my macros should be here tomrrow :) soo ill post a thread of photos of the making of my adapter adn some test footy!! YAY
