Well, i submitted this to a 60sec festival. The rules were it couldent be 1 frame over or one frame under 60secs. winner grabs $5,000 ill find out in june who won. The catagory i entered was called "Day after payday" they said the interpretation was up to you, i mean sure its a little far out there, but let me know what you think.

Cool, got good responses from the people. For your info, the 'high quality' link didn't work. Good luck in the fest...

The HQ link doesn't work, not even dl target. In QT I get error message that says it's not a movie file. In WMP, I get a codec error. Could be my computer though. Gov't computer with restrictions and such. Anyway, nice vid, but I don't get how it fits the category. How did you interpret it?

Thats a good question, someone else on a forum i posted the link in asked me the exact same question. Here was my responce to him. Ill just paste it since im on my way out the door.
------------------------------------
i guess based on the video is would be hard to decypher how it pertains to "day before payday" so let me *attempt* to explain. When i first set out to shoot for the video, my idea was to interview bunches of people and only use segments from those who's one wish was "money/wealth/riches" to allude to the idea that everyone was trying to make money and get by. (keep in mind that the goal of the contest was to show how it was unique to your city) However, after reviewing all the footage, i decided that my orig idea wasnt as good as what naturally played out. There were a lot of sincere things (and many that wernt included in the final product) and i guess winning the contest became less important because i really liked the results. Its very seldom if not EVER that i really like the work i came up with from a 1day last min shoot. So, all things being equal, i guess now its less about "day before payday" and more about what it turned into. "Wish"
Now having said that, if the judges like it and somehow make a connection to the topic, so be it. If not, it wont bother me.
