This is just a short "music video with a story" that I did for school this last semester. Please critique the heck out of it for me! I see a lot of problems with it and I'd like to know what I need to change/fix/do better at next time.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate any feedback :)

Hmmm... I ALMOST stopped watching after the first 30 seconds or so, but I'm glad I didn't. Turned out to be pretty good. The editing was very nice, and it flowed relatively smoothly. The song was great, who is it??? sigur ross??
Some of the "creative" shots worked well, but a lot of them didn't. Work on composition. The slow mo shot of the girl walking through the door in the kitchen looked awfull. It should have been at regular speed. Color Correction works wonders, and this project really needs to be cleaned up in post. The actual footage didn't look so great, but I think the story kept my interest anyway. It was told nicely, but the story is SOOOO overdone.
Come up with something that hasn't been beaten to death already, work on composition, get to know your camera in order to get better looking footage, and color correct in post. Also... lighting, lighting, lighting. That's my two cents.
On a plus note, there's potential here.

That was great. The start is slow but it picks up nicely. You had some awesome transitions.

thanks for the replies!
The song was saeglopur by Sigur Ros
Yes Lighting is something I definantly need to invest in and I agree that the story was a bit lacking on the creative side ;)
Color correction is a beast I have yet to fight, perhaps I will try to run back through this project and pretty it up to learn about it.
One problem I have is I can see that some shots just look aweful but I don't know what to change to compose them better, so thats what im still working on learning.
I really appreciate the comments, keep em coming if you have more I want to learn! Also any advice on tutorials for CC? I'm working in PPro 2.0. Thanks a ton :)

If you wrote the script it was a tremendous story. The video was very good and on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it an overall rating of 8. Way 'ta go!

Very nice and yes the transitions were great. Don't worry about it being 'over done' as every story has it's own difference someplace. I have to admit, it was sad in the end..:( But that's the feeling you were going for so...:)

thanks alot :) yeah we wrote the script around the song. I know its kind of sad :\ and normally I would have turned it around to have a positive ending, but it just worked better this way.
