I've been using the FigRig now for about 9-10 months or so and it's pretty cool. However as a new shooter I know the daunting amout of products out there and know there is a learning curve to everything.
With that in mind I've noticed some considerable things I'd change about the FigRig given the chance and have actually modified mine so it works for "me"
I'm curious as to what other FigRig users out there have to say about thier experiences with the the 595B and what they'd like to see different on it as in improvements
I do have a solution that I am getting ready to market very soon.
No not PVC or $35 crap, real stuff from real machinists in the industry
This will be the real deal and something that us users would use
I am doing this to make shooting for us DV guys easier more reliable and functional however I'd like to know what you would like to make it better.
So tell me your thoughts.

How many of you out there currently own a Fig Rig?

I think implying that PVC and other DIY solutions are "crap" just might be your first marketing misstep.

No disrespect to the PVC inventors. This is not a DYI project I am creating. This is a real solution for real users in the field. I too use PVC to create prototypes however those never see the real set. They would laugh me off the set showing up with something less then a precision piece of real camera support equipment.

Easy tiger. I own a FigRig and know of patent infringement. I'm not promoting a business at this time, just collecting information from real users to improve your shots.
The design is nothing like what is out there and you will be very pleased once it's completed.
Once again I'm on your side as I am also a shooter.
BTW the FigRig is not patented, it's patent pending.

Very good work young Jedi, once again, I am not stealing a Patent.
If your not interested that's okay, this is a DYI area is it not. The wheel has already been invented many moons ago and others are using it for many things.
Thanks for all you work and input, it is useful.

I, for one, can't wait to see the new improved (dare I say it?) FigRig. that you are working on. Being a DIYer, I look forward to "adapting" your rig to the lowly PVC and making it work in a "reel" production since I don't have access to a machine shop or the budget of a movie like M:I:III. LOL
P.S. can you include drawing too ;)

Lets see it. Just because someone invents something, doesn't mean that someone can't make it better in a different way, just make sure credit is given. That's America for you!

I'm still collecting information to those who use the "figrig" as my camera stabilizer will not be anything near a ring what so ever. My goal as a developer is to create usable products that actually work for the end user
So please tell me what you'd like in a camers stabilizer and I will create one for the masses.
