Hi just had a quick question regarding speeding up DVX100B footage in post. Once this is done it looks very video like, one solution to this is to deinterlace the sped up clip but ofcaurse half my fields go bye bye. I wanted to know how everyone else handles the situation, to keep the progressive look on sped up footage without having to deinterlace. I’m using Premiere Pro 2.0
Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend deinterlacing the footage. You might consider two options with the problems you're describing:
1. Speed up the segment in it's own sequence then output the file to avi. Bring back in then apply Magic Bullet (this is your best bet).
2. If you don't have Magic Bullet, you might try applying time posterization set at 24 frames and see if that tones it down. It's not a perfect fix but might help.

hmm, dont have Magic Bullet, so i'll have to try out the time posterization filter. Hopefully it looks usable.
Thanks allot for the feedback.

What's your project's standard? 60i? 30P? 24P?
If you're working on a 60i project ("NTSC Standard" or "NTSC Widescreen") things are going to look like video when you adjust their speed. But since the rest of your stuff doesn't look like video, I'm assuming you shot it in 30P or 24P.
If you're shooting in 30p, make your project progressive. If you're shooting in 24p, use the 24p preset.
Then try speeding up.
