PP 1.5 24p?

I am working on my first project in 24p and recently read about some problems PP 1.5 has with 24p footage but didnt really get what they were exacly...
I was wondering if it works fine to import 24p into a 24p timeline, and if the problems arise only with a 29.97 fps timeline. and what would be the advantages of working in a 29.97 timeline?

Ummm, maybe if I approach this from a different angle:
I also have vegas, and am wondering if I take 24p footage captured with PP 1.5 will the PP 1.5 problem transfer over to vegas with the clip or not?

Any help would be appreciated greatly!

i'd suggest going to the adobe premiere pro user forum...

however your captured footage is untouched data...however i don't know vegas so you may or may not have the same problem.

i work with 24p advanced in premiere 6.5 and though i don't have automatic pulldown i don't have any problems and definitely don't have any problems with 24p standard.
