I made a DVD using Encore DVD 2.0 in which when you put in the DVD the first action is an animation of the menu which has an end jump to a still of the menu (as the menu with buttons, etc.). When I simulate it (I haven't burned it yet) after the animation bit instead of a smooth transition right into the still (so that you would see it as more of a continuous thing and not as the two assets it is) there is about 2 seconds or so of black screen. My question is, how do I get rid of this gap? I am trying to present the DVD finished tomorrow so any info asap would be so very greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've seen this with 1.5 in previews but the burns were okay. There will still be an unavoidable pause (it will hold on the last frame of the animation) as it switches from the animation to the still but there should be no black. Only way to know for sure is to burn a disc. I suggest you make a "DVD Folder" or "Image" file rather than author and burn direct to disc for a potential time savings down the road.

Thanks. It ended up being great once burned there wasn't any gap in between the animation and the still so it looked like one continuous shot. Strange how it does that in the simulation though.
