Hello!

I’ve been visiting dvxuser for months, but this is my first post. My brother and I run a production company here in Bosnia (Europe). I learned a lot on these forums, and among other things, bought one of the first HVX’s in this part of the world because of what I’ve read here. We recently finished our first project shot with HVX200. We shot two commercials for a big client the very same day we received the camera…without P2 cards. So, it’s DV25, after about one hour of playing with the camera. It was risky, but it turned out pretty good, the client was very happy :)
Commercials are in Bosnian, I’m afraid you won’t understand a thing, but take a look anyway…and tell me what you think!

Thanks for the kind words!

Well, believe it or not, scientists discovered three huge pyramids here in Bosnia. It's a major archeological discovery and it's all over the news... "Gorenje" is leading house appliances manufacturer in the region, and they're using this pyramids hype to promote their brand. The first one is a teaser...it says "to be continued" at the end. The title at the end of the second commercial says "from ancient times to the future" (sounds much better in Bosnian). We're shooting the third one in a couple of days. I wish I could shoot DVCPRO50 or DVCPROHD, but the cards haven't arrived yet...

Arthur,
This is great stuff. It looks really good --- especially for DV. The actors are terrific too. I love those wide-eyed looks when that thing starts to open. And I love your bravery! --- I can't imagine shooting something after having only an hour to play with the camera. Southern California has made me such a sissy. Keep up the great work!

Thanks!
The actors really are great, they are actually celebrities here. This camera is truly amazing, even in DV...

Looks good.. Did you have to light the crap out of it? I know this camera loves light! You can see it when they open that freezer, the camera says "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM LIGHTTTTTTT" <chomp, chomp>..

We used two 800w soft boxes and a ring light. Boxes were dimmed to really low level, since we needed the "night look". And yes, there were 3KW of halogen lights in the freezer :)

That is some CRISP looking footage! Have you finished the 3rd commercial yet?

I've read an interesting article on http://www.bosnian-pyramid.net (http://www.bosnian-pyramid.net%C3%85%C2%BE)
about the corners of the pyramid. It would be an easy way to proof
quickly the existence, but they dig near the corners but not the
corners. Then they've dug something on the top of it, but not the
top!? I've seen some pictures on that really let me think again about
this whole thing. Every day I believe less in this mystery.
