Has anybody seen this error?

While recording to a P2 card I get about 5 seconds and then this error flashes.
I've tried hitting the reset button and of course formatting the cards.
Happens with either P2 card (I have 2).

Any ideas

Panasonic Tech Support does not know what it is.

Thanks

Did you format the card outside of the camera (via a computer)
if so, try using the camera to format, and make certain you have the latest firmware for the cards...they have been updated a few times. Also, make sure they are not write protected.

I got that error a couple of times when playing with the "extended" variable frame rates (i.e., hacking into the system)...

Thanks Guys,

Barry, I wish I would have hacked into the system, that would easily explain the error :) After spending $5600 believe me, I'll let all the others report in on hacking into the system.

Not sure what caused the crash but going in and changing from 720p to 480i caused the screen to flash.

Still didn't fix it.

When I looked at the preset it was set to 24 frame - I put it on DEFAULT and that fixed it.

Bottom line, like any computer, the camera just got into a "bad state". I guess you sometimes have to treat it like a computer and - "start messing with the menu's".

Strangely enough I got that message six times today durring a shoot. Sometimes we'd even lose the last take we had just shot because of it. Since we were rotating our P2 cards there was not one card we could pin this on. We even used 4gig and 8gig cards and it still happened. This popped up on the second day of shooting, not sure why the first day was trouble free.

So we changed out cameras and it seemed to free us from the problem. I know you mentioned the solution was in changing your scene file, but I hate to admit it but the scene files I used were straight from the HVX Book. (sorry Barry) I don't think this was the issue because I used the same SD card to carry the scene files to the second camera which didn't have an issue with them.

We're shooting for the next three days for a project you can find at http://www.monsterjobhunter.com/
I'll let you know if this Micron/P2 memory error is still an issue...
