Sorry to ask a stupid question, but I've received some QuickTime files - some of which are over 2GB and don't play in QuickTime or import into Premiere Pro as a 'generic error' comes up. I'm assuming there's still a 2GB file limitation size for PC systems? Is there any work-around for this issue?

The file size limit only exists if your hard drive is formatted FAT32. A reformat to NTFS will remove the file size limitation issue.

Okay, then that's not the problem I thought it was. If NTSC has no FAT32 limitation on file size, then some of the QuickTime video files I've been sent must have something else preventing them from being opened. They each measure 2,097,152KB (a mathematical improbability to have the problem ones exactly the same size). Premiere Pro says 'generic error' and Quicktime player says 'not a file QuickTime understands'. Has anyone else had a similar problem opening QuickTime files?
