Which 35mm lens do you prefer with your 35mm adapter?

Hi all,

Was thinking of buying a 35mm SLR lens adapter (like the M2, etc,) for the HVX200 but not sure which mount to get. I own a Pentax *ist SLR, so I could buy a Pentax K mount and use the lenses I already own, but it seems many people chose Nikon SLR lenses.

Is the quality of Nikon preferable over most SLR 35mm lenses or are they all pretty similar? Is my Pentax len's picture quality pretty bad compared to a Nikon, etc?
What other brands are considered very good and popular?
