could anyone please explain to me the pros and cons of recording on P2 cards and Firestore? (aside from GBs)

Firestore = long record times, less cost per gigabyte.
P2 cards = rugged, relatively indestructible, heatproof, vibration-proof, shockproof, dustproof, silent, no need for a separate power supply, no need for a cooling fan, no need to be tethered by a firewire cable, and in-camera playback of slow-mo and fast-mo effects, smaller in-camera size.
could i use firestore with any frame rate and/or resolution?
