Nice job.. funny.. sound was great, what did you use?

loved it :O)
Didn't like the lighting on the guy who passed the film.
Looked a little red and flat.
Were you using a getto steadicam/dolly ?

I found this very well done. About 5% from being completely polished.
Nice!

thanks to everyone for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
Justin- believe it or not, with the exception of the door hit and a quick little "whoosh" on the snap zoom, all of the sound is production captured audio.
We used a doorway dolly-- no track was laid, it was all freewheeled.

LOL!! That was great! And looks real nice. I'm a pro photographer just getting into video, and it looks well lit to me, but what do I know right?
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,

That takes me back to the Sony/Ampex type c 1 inch days. Most of the kids here were just born or swinging in dads pants when that was the top of the line. I really enjoyed that short. Thanks!

Nice short all around. Good match cuts and composition. Great compression too. What did you use and your settings for compression?
Also a sweet facility. Where is it?
Thanks and keep showing... all positive.

Thank you all for the positive feedback-- you guys are too kind.
Justyn, we used Digital Rapids to encode it, and we compressed at 700kbps to mpeg 4.
Oh and the facility is in Stamford, CT.

Great job.
I loved the music. Great edit/camera work for dialouge and during the 1" machine. Made me want to go out and do a short about an old job I had at a pizza place!
I have a hunch- you must of worked that kind of job before, right?
What is a doorway dolly? (cheap &/or homemade?)

A doorway dolly is not homemade. You can mount a jib arm or a tripod on it, but it doesn't have the hydraulic boom of a chapman or a fisher (brand names of other dollies). You can swap out the wheels and use track with it also. I'm not sure how much they cost, they're not exactly cheap.
