Are all of you using RAIDs to edit your HVX footage (specifically DVCPRO HD 100Mbps)?
I am wondering if it is even possible to edit footage off of one individual SATA media drive? Yes? No?
Thanks

Oh heck yes. I've edited multiple streams of 100mbps data off the INTERNAL hard disk on my G5 2.0, including transitions between them, in real time. You can easily work with a single drive.
I did go and get a G-Raid (because, hey, faster is better, right?)
But yes you can definitely work with a single drive, very easily.

Hey Casey!
As Barry said, it's no prob. I edit off the internal drive of my Powerbook with no issues.
Hope all is well,
Todd
