just some concern,
i am using a 2g powerpc g5 dual processor. can it take hvx dvcpro HD footage.
for one min, how much space does it take up ?
is there a website to tell the workflow of dvcpro hd?
when you capture the footage, you export lossless 10bit,
into dvd studio pro, than burn on what dvd ?
need special dvd ?

Have a skirt around the boards, vocare - like the truth, the answers are out there. But in brief:
Your G5 will EAT this footage. I've got a mate running a little 12' G4 powerbook and he can run the footage off an external HDD. Sweat. I've got a similar rig to you and haven't dropped a frame yet.
I presume you're looking for FCP workflow? Check the workflow section of this forum (that'll help you with the various bits of hardware involved). Your manual is also invaluable. And here's a link to the White Paper (probably your best resource for starting out):

Exporting issues are still up in the air at the moment - if you don't have an HD DVD burner, you don't got HD DVD's. But that doesn't worry me - I don't have an HD DVD player, nor an HD compatible TV (yet). All these things lie in the future. Figure out the camera first (and LOVE it).
But if you reeeeeeeally wanna know, maybe check out an FCP forum.
