I am looking for a fast easy to use application for cutting up the .mov and quicktime files.

When I am traveling I will need to optimize my disk space and need a fast way to do a destructive clip edit. I know that you can do it in fcp, but it is not a straightforward process.

I noticed that Quicktime Pro has a simple fast editor. I do not have this program My question would be when sections are deleted is it destructive in QT?

If this works $30. is a cheap price to pay for a fast clip splitter.

It's not destructive unless you save over the movie file. Load it up, set in out points, select Edit -> Trim to Selection, then File -> Save As.
