I have bought 3 of these and loaded them with 100 GB 5400 RPM Hitachi Travelstars. They are built exceptionally well for the price. Using these 3 drives I will get almost 17 hrs. of 720 24P recording.

This unit has 2 Firewire connects. They also make a combo USB/Firewaire drive for $51.00

Sorry bro"... If you were able to record 720/24pN straight to a hard drive (which you can't) you would only get 12 1/2 hours. In 720/24p you're only going to get 5 hours with 300 gigs. But hey, that's nothing to shake a stick at.

Hi:

Do these housings feature an Oxford 911 bridge? If they do, then they may be acceptable for editing. If not, they will randomly drop frames and should be avoided for anything other than pure storage.

Don't forget the 15 file limit imposed by P2 effectively meaning that with 4gig P2 cards, the most you will get on a drive would be 60 gigs. Hey Deveraux, I see you passed me in post's, I'm coming on strong now Sucka!
