Many of us just purchased this, and now version 4 is out.
No free update unless you purchased it in April?
I purchased mine in march.

new version offers:
1) better color corection.
2) better audio panning.
3) better intergration with windows media files.
4) more familiar menu system (file, save, save as etc.)

Those guys at Canopus should get a book and learn the definition of the word keyframe!!!! :D
If they don't implement keyframes in the effects they are still behind from the others.
I don't have any problem with the software, I support it from version 1.5 but keyframes are vital.

EDIUS Broadcast includes EDIUS Pro 3 (the main editing application) plus a bunch of add-on packs.

So no, you don't buy multiple things. Just Broadcast.
