I had a chance to test the G35 beta with the HVX and was extremely impressed.

that healcare spot with the G35 looked amazing. I like the idea of the Red-rock.. but am I jumping the gun with that boy..or is this other one a ghostly product never to be released?

You are so right about this. People are expecting the G35 to be twice or three times as good as anything else out there. Sadly they're mistaken. The technology of this product is so simple and that the main difference will be in the type of ground glass the manufacturers use. Unless Cinemek knows of a ground glass that no one else knows about, then the G35 will be about the same as everything else.
And who knows when this thing is coming out? Cinemek can't even get their act together on the website. It's hasn't been fully working. And when it does come out, what kind of customer service do you think you'll get?
While G35 fans wait, the rest of us can continue to enjoy shooting with our 35mm adapters.
