Let me say that I didnt know what section to put this, but I'm using premiere so here is where I chose.

Is there a program that I can log my video clips. I would also like to add tags to each video for easy catagorizing.

I have to create many 5 minute video clips but they cover several topics each. When placed online, one video can be placed in under several topics. Instead of looking at the video clips a year down the line and trying to figure which topics they cover, I would like to "Tag" them now and be able to search for the tag later.

Tapes can be logged in Premiere, using the capture utility. For greater flexibility with metadata, use Adobe Bridge to organize your clips and add metadata. It seems to work really well.

i have 1.5, so bridge doesnt come along. Does the capture give me the ability to somehow search for the metadata?

CatDV was designed for this purpose and works VERY well:

I downloaded a free trial of the CATdv. Its a very good program. Though i was wondering if i could create my own fields or delete pre existing fields.

By fields, im talking about the catagories such as notes, duration, Bin, etc.

Adobe Bridge is awsome. I use it for all of my video/audio/photo organization.
